In addition to my UX/UI product design work, I'm involved in a variety of creative projects. With a background in traditional art education, I've provided technical and creative illustration services for companies such as Applied Biosystems and Motorola. I’ve also designed numerous brand identity packages for small businesses and currently teach art at the Almaden School of Music and Art.

Illustration has always been my passion and a way to unwind after working on complex projects. Over the years, I’ve created hundreds of digital, creative, and technical illustrations for use in publications, packaging, and documentation.

Over many years as a designer, I’ve created numerous brand identity packages for small businesses and products. These typically included logos, stationery, brochures, and website design.

Art school

My first step into the professional world was teaching art. Alongside my product design work, I continue to teach an after-school art program at Almaden School of Music and Art, helping young artists develop their skills and express their creativity.

Collecting

I’m always on the lookout for unique and interesting objects you don’t see every day. My collection is diverse — from antique primitive tools to imperial Russian art deco brass and copper pieces. My largest collection includes around 600 belt buckles.

Fencing swords

I've always been a big fan of fencing as a sport. Although I don’t compete, I often attend tournaments to cheer for my wife. I also collect and restore 18th–20th century fencing and dueling swords.

Volunteering

I try to give back by our time and effort to local community projects. Over the years, we’ve supported several nonprofits, including Adopt-A-Park, Second Harvest of Silicon Valley, Save Our Shores, and Rebuilding Together Silicon Valley.

When we can, my teenage daughter and I try to give back by volunteering our time and effort to local community projects.
