Antique fencing Epee with ribbed wooden grip
A remarkable antique fencing sword, crafted in Solingen, Germany, circa late 18th to early 19th century. All original and exceptionally well-preserved for its age this piece would make an outstanding addition to any fencing, military, or dueling weapon collection. The blade is stamped “Solingen, Made in Germany” on one side and “Solingen J.H. Lau & Co., New York” on the other. It features a 5-inch wooden grip wrapped in leather, complemented by a solid brass guard (2.5" diameter) and a 1.5" brass pommel. Both the guard and pommel are heavy, with a beautiful aged patina that adds to its authenticity and charm. The 32-inch blade shows natural signs of age yet remains in excellent condition, with the kind of presence that feels museum-worthy. This is a sword with both historical significance and striking visual appeal.

Both the guard and pommel are heavy, with a beautiful aged patina that adds to its authenticity and charm.The 34-inch blade shows natural signs of age yet remains in excellent condition, with the kind of presence that feels museum-worthy.
