Igor's Art Studio

Alongside my product design work, I teach an after-school art program, where I help young artists build foundational skills in drawing, painting, and sculpture while encouraging creativity, experimentation, and self-expression.
Program Goals
The Art Studio is designed to help students:
- Develop drawing, painting, and sculpture skills
- Build creativity and confidence
- Learn to observe the world like an artist
- Explore a variety of artistic materials and techniques
- Express ideas through original artwork
- Create a portfolio that demonstrates artistic growth throughout the year
Each project teaches one or more fundamental artistic concepts such as shape, line, color, texture, perspective, composition, proportion, or light and shadow.
Art Media
Students will explore a variety of materials throughout the year, including:
- Graphite pencil
- Colored pencils
- Markers
- Soft pastels
- Watercolors
- Acrylic paints
- Air-dry clay
- Mixed media
Oil painting may be offered for adult students upon request.
Project Themes
Projects are organized into monthly themes such as:
- Nature
- Fantasy
- Architecture
- Seasonal Celebrations
Student Portfolio
Each student will have a personal online portfolio page that includes:
- Student profile
- Photographs of completed artwork
- Artwork titles and completion dates
- A growing gallery that documents artistic progress throughout the year
Parents will be able to watch their child's artistic development over time.
