User journey map

As a Sustainability Manager Susan wants to be able to collect data from company suppliers, analyze this data to insure supply change transparency and provide recommendations for improvement to suppliers.

Problem statement

Hypothesis: If Suzan uses “Add suppliers” feature of the SupplyShift platform, she will be able to easily upload all suppliers contact information, create an assessment and send it to all suppliers at the same time. After receiving assessment responses, she will be able to analyze and compare data to improve supply chain transparency and sustainability.

Usability testing

Live interviews with users helped me to understand not just the process but the actual experience the users have while using the product. I conducted user testing on every stage of the project from concept wireframes to interactive prototypes and high-fidelity layouts. I tested every new flow with existing users as well as with participants who are not familiar with the product. This approach helped me to create intuitive user experience and make sure that new features are easy to understand and to use by any user regardless of their experience.

SupplyShift Onboarding Home Cards

Sign up / Log in

Platform had different entry points designed at different times, not intuitive and not consistent. I redesigned user login process using MUI components. I also added an additional layer of security to password change process. I added an option to register and login to the platform using existing Microsoft or Google accounts in addition to an option of creating a new account with email.

I created FigJam exercise to collect ideas from internal users and stakeholders on grouping of the menu items and naming groups.

Company Name: Alias

If the supplier changes the company name, the buyer can’t find this supplier in the list.
Solution: If the supplier changes the company name, the buyer should receive notification regarding name change and has the option to use original (buyer given) name as alias, or supplier company legal name.

UI Library

I streamlined the design and development process for platform features by implementing easily reusable components, applying the new Material UI library, redesigning user onboarding and data uploading processes, and establishing effective communication channels between design and engineering teams. This approach reduced design and development times by significantly reducing duplication of effort and allowing for faster iteration cycles. By implementing the new library, I created a more consistent and user-friendly design experience across the platform. This project saves hours of the design and engineering work.
